About Counselling

Beach at Sunset

Counselling is a type of talking therapy that can be helpful for a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, low self esteem, bereavement, relationship problems, and many more.

I am an Integrative Counsellor who uses a range of counselling techniques and traditions to ensure that my clients benefit from an approach that is designed to meet their individual needs. I have over 20 years experience working with children, young people and adults, including those with complex mental health difficulties. My specialism is the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which can be very effective for anxiety, low mood and a range of other issues.

I am fully insured and as a registered and accredited member of the BACP, I abide by its code of ethics which ensures high standards of ethical counselling practice.

In my experience, some clients may just want a safe, therapeutic space to explore their difficulties at a level of depth that, in itself, can enable change and growth to occur. For others, they may have specific goals such as learning to cope with anxiety for example and this is why an integrative counselling approach can be very effective as the therapy is tailored to  the individual.

Counselling sessions are available for children, young people and adults.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and are charged at £85 per session.
